Seven Little Things (Part One)
It had been nearly two years since he'd won big in the lottery and had his dream home built, complete with the 'storm shelter' that was hidden away in an annex of the basement. Looking at the security monitor, Jarrett thought back to how he'd set his long thought out plan in action and that it actually worked. Explaining she could use the computer but it would only let her do two things right now, give her the next thing she was expected to do and let her talk to him while he was upstairs.
After he left, she made her way to the table, started to eat, but didn't really have an appetite, so she opened the netbook and clicked on the 'Seven Little Things' folder. It only contained one file, a simple text file which read:
“The first of seven little things you need to do is the easiest. Simply have your
clothes folded neatly and placed on the table next to the door. You will remain
naked until the list is compete. Once you complete the list, you will be returned
unharmed to your parents. I won't harm you and will provide what you need to
live.
Once you have completed this task, I will add the second to this folder along
with video's that will explain exactly what the next thing is.”
She opened the other folder, this one had two files, a text file and an application. The text explained that the chat app was for her to communicate with him while he wasn't in the room. It would make it easier for them to talk while he was not in the room.
