Here is the last part, at the end I will fill you guys in on what life is like now.
I woke up and saw that kenneth had his head on my chest. My arm was around him and he was sound asleep. I glanced at the clock, it was 800am. Now i have no idea what time we fell asleep, but I do know we slept a while. I laid there for a moment and began to think about what happened last night. I could not believe how far I went with him. I mean, I love him like my little brother, as far as I’m concerned, he is. We are so very close, and I just took his virginity. It felt so weird, yet… so right. I knew our relationship was never going to be the same. I looked at him again. He was so peaceful. I ran my fingers through his hair, he stirred and woke up rather quickly after that. He looked up at me and smiled
“Good morning”
“Morning buddy, sleep well?”
“Yes, how about you?”
“Slept great.”
“Good”
He smiled very brightly and stared at me intently. His look changed after a moment, detecting that something was on my mind..
“What’s wrong?”
“Well, last night bothers me a bit”
“Do you regret all of that?” (Looking a bit afraid)
“No no not at all buddy”
I hugged him and held him tightly reassuringly for a moment
“I very much enjoyed every single moment. It is just, our relationship will change after today, there is no doubt about that. I am slightly concerned as to where that might lead, yet I am excited to see where it leads. You are family, more or less my only family, and you mean the world to me. I just want this to go where it needs to go, and I want to remain loving you. I don’t care what kind of love.”
“Well, Will you will always be my big bro. I guess, its just. I have always loved you so much, and.. well, I don’t see you any differently. I wanted you to be the one to take me first, Because you are so important to me. I don’t want to change our relationship for the world, to me, it is perfect just the way it is.”
“That, makes me feel a whole lot better.”
“Good”
“Want some breakfast?”
“Sure”
We both got out of bed, and got some clean underwear. Went downstairs and I got out some ingredients for omelets. Sausage, eggs, cheese, tomatoes and onions. I got everything prepped and began cooking when he came up to me and hugged me from behind wrapping his hands around my waste.
“something i can do for you buddy?”
“Nope, love you”
“Love you too buddy”
After I was done with the omelets. We sat at the kitchen table and ate. He kept tapping my legs with his feet and I would just glare at him playfully. Once breakfast was over, he yanked me up and pulled me into the living room, sat me down and sat next to me and started snuggling.
“There is something we need to talk about…”
There was a quiver in his voice, and I was immediately worried.
“What is it bud?”
“Well, its my mom. She is sick, and she is not going to be around much longer. I am not supposed to tell you this yet, but I did not want you to wait any longer.”
“What kind of sick?”
“She has cancer, and it's all over, there is nothing they can do.”
He started crying, hard. All I could do is hold him close. It hurt so much.
“Shit buddy, I am so sorry..”
He broke off the tears and looked up at me
“She is going to give you parental rights.”
“What??? When was she planning on telling me?”
“Soon, I am not sure when, but soon..”
“I see..”
“Will you do it?”
“Oh kenneth, of course I will, but this is a lot of info to take in at once.. shouldn’t we call your mother?”
“No.. not yet. I want her to tell you, it was just really bothering me, I couldn’t keep that from you any longer”
“I see…”
I was taken aback, this was so much to handle at once, I knew I would do it, yet I just wished she had told me. But the choice was hers. Knowing this, i had no idea what to do or say, I couldn’t think straight. Of all times of him to tell me, it added a bit of fuel to the fire.
“I’m sorry..”
“For what? Buddy you have nothing to be sorry for.”
“So you’ll do it?”
“Of course I will!”
He just smiled and hugged me tightly, as if I would have said no. Still, really needed to talk to his mother about this. Sandy was an amazing and strong willed woman. She had been there for me during all of my hardship, just as kenneth had. When kenneth and I met, shortly after my mother died. She was there, and welcomed me with open arms. I can honestly say that, she had almost just as much an influence on me as kenneth, and finding out that she was going to die.. It stung. It was almost like losing my mother again. I couldn’t take it. But, I had to, for kenneth. His facial expressions went through several different emotions, and then, he began to cry, very hard. I did not know what to do. So i kissed him lightly on the lips and hugged him close. I laid back on the couch and held him to me. He quivered as he cried. I am not a magician, I cannot make pain go away. I had to let it run its course. Eventually, after what seemed like an eternity, he looked up at me, and kissed me. Then, he laid his head on my shoulder..
“I love you Will.”
“I Love you too buddy.”
I could tell he wanted a nap. So i laid back, and let him drift off to sleep. Not knowing what else to do, I decided to join him, knowing, I needed to call Sandy when I woke up..
I am sorry to say, this is where I will end this series. Information, however. Sandy did pass away a month after this story takes place. And, I did adopt kenneth. this weekend was the only time he and I ever did anything sexual. He means the world to me, and All my spare time goes towards taking care of him. As luck would have it, he has a boyfriend. I do have a few things I could make into stories in regards to their relationship, but I am going to wait a while, as this series was extremely hard to write.
