April Showers Bring May Flowers
I sit in front of the gravesite and place the flowers on her grave, which I have been doing every April first for the past forty years. I read the head stone as tears come to my eyes.
Forty years ago...
It's ten-o-clock at night, I am sitting in my broken down car, and it's raining like a motherfucker. If I had gone to spring break in California, I'd be sitting on the beach right now.
I'm feeling sorry for myself when I hear a tap on the window and see May from school standing there. I am surprised, because I haven't seen her in school for a couple weeks. She's definitely not dressed for the rain as I roll down the window.
"Hey. Charley are you broke down," she asks.
"No. I'm just sitting here relaxing," I say sarcastically.
She giggles and says, "my house is up the street if you want to use the phone."
I nod accepting her offer and get out of the car. She is wearing tight blue jeans and t-shirt. I can tell she isn't wearing a bra as the wet t-shirt is clinging to her b-cups. Her red hair is matted to her head and I am starring at her beautiful freckled face. I've had a crush on her since elementary school, but when we got into high school we were in completely different cliques.
The rain is coming down hard as we arrive at her house and she stops in the front yard. She lies down on the grass and stares into the night sky.
She pats the ground beside her as I join her on the grass. The rain is coming down hard as I stare at her. She turns to me and smiles.
"April is my favorite month of the year," she says.
"You like all of this rain," I ask.
"I love flowers," she says as I look at her confused. "April showers bring May flowers."
I think nothing of it as she gets up and I follow her into her house. She leads me up to her room and we are standing there looking at each other.
She stares into my eyes and says, "I've had a crush on you since elementary school."
"Me too," I say as she smiles.
"Take off your clothes, so that I can put them in the dryer," she says.
"You first," I say.
"At the same time," she says as she giggles.
We start undressing until we are down to our underwear.
We are staring into each other's eyes, when she says, "keep going."
Moments later, we are standing there in our birthday suits. She is beautiful. Her body is still wet and glistening in the moon light. The next thing I know we are locked in a tender kiss and our hands are exploring each other.
She moves me over to the bed and l lay on top of her.
"I've dreamt of this day my whole life. Don't make me wait any longer," she says as I slide my cock into her hot tight pussy.
She feels so good as I am sliding in and out of her. We stare into each other's eyes as we hold each other tight. Her hips are meeting mine as we are lost in lust. Our temple builds as we are both getting close.
We are moaning as her pussy clamps around me and I explode inside of her, still staring into her eyes. After we catch our breath, she spoons up against me.
She breaks the silence by saying, "I have always loved you." I try to say something, but she cuts me off. "I know you have loved me too. Our lives never intertwined like they should have."
"But we have the future," I say.
"Charles, even though April showers bring May flowers, some of the flowers don't live," she says.
I try to understand what she just said as I hear her snoring. I hold her tight and fall into a deep peaceful sleep.
I wake up in the morning and the sun is shining through the window. I don't see May anywhere. I get up and put my clothes on, which are still wet. I look around and don't see May's wet clothes.
All the sudden the door opens and I see May's Dad, who I have seen before. 6"6" weighing in at 275 pounds. I think I pissed myself as he says, "what the fuck are you doing in my daughter's room!" I don't have a chance to answer as he grabs me by the neck, carries me downstairs and tosses me out of the front door. "Get out of here before I call the police."
I pick myself up and run the one block to my car and get in. It actually starts up and I drive home.
The rest of the day is normal as I mope around the house all day. Mom and Dad are mad, because I didn't come home last night. I don't care, because all I can think about is May. I have always had a crush on her and I find out that she had a crush on me too.
I wake up the next morning and head to my car to see that it is still raining. I drive to the flower shop, buy a dozen roses and I find myself standing in front of May's house.
I knock on the door and May's mother answers.
"Is May home," I ask.
"Stop joking around young man, our daughter died two weeks ago, if you don't believe me then go to the cemetery," she says.
I am crying. I don't even get into my car as I'm running to the cemetery. I find a grave that says, "May Turner" as I am crying. The grave stone says, "May Turner 1 April 1960 - 1 April 1977." At the bottom it says, "April Showers Bring May Flowers."
